In June 2012, a groundbreaking recording of Johannes Brahms' Violin Concerto was presented by the Georgian violinist Lisa Batiashvili and conductor Christian Thielemann with the Staatskapelle Dresden. This unparalleled performance took place live at the Semperoper in Dresden. The album also features a collection of three Romances by Clara Schumann, where Batiashvili is accompanied by the German-Japanese pianist Alice Sara Ott.
